Worldwide chemical detection equipment handbook

The Chemical and Biological Defense Information Analysis Center (CBIAC), 482 pages, 1995

name

This book, which is available only by direct order from CBIAC, was a disappointment. Only the first chapter of this book discusses the technology and chemistry used in detecting chemical agents. The remainder of this book consists only of listings of equipment produced by various countries, its physical characteristics, detection sensitivity, operational status, and manufacturer, along with a color photograph of each device. The information is organized alphabetically by country. Few people outside the intelligence community would have any use for this information. Unfortunately, the more useful and up-to-date information produced by CBIAC about new technologies used for detecting CW agents is classified and is not available to the general public.
